One of the easiest and most beautiful herbal concoctions you can make in spring is violet syrup. Used as a soda base with sparkling water, this potion can also be a part of your science lessons! The mixture should be a deep blue to start but when you add the acid of lemon juice, it changes color (like magic!). The recipe below is a great place to start.
1 cup violet blossoms
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
