Creamy Horseradish Sauce 2 Ways

Excellent paired with prime rib, beef tenderloin, or steak

Horseradish Cream Sauce
CREDIT FOR THE RECIPE: ALTON BROWN

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours
Servings: yields 1 1/4 cups

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated horseradish 
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk all of the ingredients together. Place in refrigerator 4 hours or overnight before serving so flavors can meld. Store in airtight container for 2-3 weeks.

Creamy Horseradish Sauce

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 2 minutes
Servings: 12 people (yields 3/4 cup)

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp prepared horseradish drained (Recipe below)
  • 2 Tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp chives finely chopped

Instructions
  1. In a small mixing bowl, stir all of the ingredients together. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate for about 2 weeks.

Prepared Horseradish 

To a food processor add:
  • 1 cup peeled and cubed horseradish root
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Process until blended. *Keep face away from container!

Cover and store in the fridge
