Supporting and empowering the community to be more confident in personal wellness goals with small-batch herbal remedies and learning opportunities for all ages
Sarah Clement: Founder & Formulator ~ Herbalist, Momma, Nature's student, Teacher, Tree hugger ~
Sarah is an herbal wellness advocate, practicing community herbalism with a focus on nervous system care. Since 2014 she has been working with community members and their families to support them in their wellness goals.
Born and raised in the Appalachian hills of West Virginia, Sarah grew up gardening and exploring nature, learning about the symbiotic plant-person relationship through experience. She now lives in Columbus, Ohio where she has worked with herbs for over a decade.
Sarah has a BA in Visual Arts from Bethany College and continuing professional herbalism education which includes coursework with Rosemary Gladstar, Jim McDonald, Tammi Sweet, Guido Mase, Leslie Alexander and Leslie Williams, as well as attending numerous workshops, conferences and the International Herb Symposium to learn from deeply respected herbalists, researchers, activists, doctors, foraging experts, growers, and mycologists.
In 2015 she founded Jeanne Wildherb Botanicals, as a way to create effective herbal formulas with plants from her bioregion and beyond. Sarah has been a teacher for over 15 years and is the steward of a suburban herb garden where she gives lessons on medicinal plants.
With a focus on local herbs and backyard remedies, Sarah encourages people to engage with the medicinal plants growing in their own region. She leads hands-on medicine making workshops, plant walks, holds one-on-one private classes, and is a public speaker and teacher around Central Ohio and at herb fairs. Sarah advocates for plant conservation and sustainable wildcrafting. To learn more about sustainability and conservation, visit the plant conservationist organization United Plant Savers.
